COLLECTIVE MEMORIES
Students begin to design and create sculptures relating to a personal memory or experience. As creative shapes begin to take form, the class passes their sculpture to their neighbor–with a new form in front of them, individuals continue to work their memory into another’s sculpture. This repeats until the class feels ready to connect all their sculptures into a larger art object. Basic skills of creative planning, hand building, experimenting with texture and larger scale construction are all included in this course.
